Middle Tennessee Tornado Resources

Tennessee remains in a State of Emergency following a series of deadly tornadoes that struck overnight. As our Music City community works to recover from this heartbreaking disaster, there are numerous community organizations offering aid for those impacted. Disaster relief, shelters, and emergency medical assistance will not be counted in the new public charge test. If you have been impacted by the tornado and need assistance or resource referrals, please contact one of the following agencies:

There are 5 emergency shelters open in Tennessee at this time:

• Centennial Sportsplex, 222 25th Ave N, Nashville, TN

• First Baptist Church, 18 S Walnut Ave, Cookeville, TN

• Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Ln, Mt. Juliet, TN

• Highland Heights Church of Christ, 505 N Cumberland, Lebanon, TN

• Putnam County YMCA, 235 Raider Dr, Cookeville, TN

The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance is establishing mobile claims unites with insurance carriers at the following locations:

• Centennial Sportsplex, 222 25th Ave N, Nashville, TN

• Wilson County EMA, 110 Oak St, Lebanon, TN

• Putnam County 911 Center, 700 County Services Dr, Cookeville, TN

If you would like to help those affected by the storms, below are the preferred methods for donating time, money, and immediate needs:

• To volunteer your time, sign up with Hands on Nashville at hon.org.

• To donate money, visit the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee online at cfmt.org.

• To donate everything EXCEPT clothing, stop by the Community Resource Center, located at 218 Omohundro Pl, Nashville, TN 37210.

• For those who have non-emergency clean-up requests, call 3-1-1.
